Keeping you safe!

Your Dog Warden provides a very necessary service for you and your community. We keep stray and feral dogs off the streets and roads of our county.

Stray dogs get into garbage, chase bikers, joggers, walkers, and kill livestock. they cause accidents by running into the road. They bite and have been known to seriously injure people.

If the 1,100 stray and owner dogs that are taken into our shelter each year (2,500 in 1979) were to be allowed to roam and multiply without control, figure out how many dogs our community would have in five years or ten years. Figure one half male and one half females with an average litter of six puppies that live. Remember at about six to eight months old the first litter can start breeding.

What Can I Do?

Be a responsible dog owner. License and leash. Spay or neuter your dog.
