The TASC Mission

Who are TASC Clients?

What Organizational Elements Make up a TASC Program?

How is TASC Funded?

TASC uses a case management process to serve clients referred by the criminal justice system. There are four components to this process:

Assessment: This is an in-depth interview and verification process to determine the nature and extent of the clients involvement with alcohol and other drugs.

Referral: Clients who meet TASC eligibility criteria are referred to substance abuse treatment programs and other social service agencies as needed.

Case Management: While the client is in treatment, TASC monitors the client's progress and makes regular reports to the agency or court that made the referal.Case management guides individuals through the proper channels so they can become productive citizens in the community.

URINALYSIS: TASC's random urinalysis program is used as an aide to determine treatment needs, detect relapse, and to assist the client in presenting evidence of a drug-free lifestyle to the criminal justice system.

TASC is unique: It is the only program in Ohio acting as a bridge between the courts and the substance abuse treatment system. TASC is an essential link in the states human service network.

TASC reduces criminal recidivism and protects public safety. It is cost effective with a positive return on investment. The TASC model provides integrated community services tailored specifically to the needs and characteristics of the individual offender.
